Neil deGrasse Tyson is an American Astrophysicist, Planetary Scholar, Science Teacher, and book author. He has this curiosity of knowing about planets from a young age. He used to set up a telescope at night to observe the sky and explore his thoughts on it. Further, he took an astronomy course at the Hayden Planetarium to go deep into it.

He is a very humble and down-to-earth person. He always thanks and pays tributes to his Predecessor of Science on every occasion. He states it would not be possible unless my Science guru has already studied the cosmos. I had much of the work-ready from them to explore and it’s been honoured always to learn their work. His teachings cover every tiny aspect of the cosmos whether it is a micro or macro observable.

Astrophysics for People in a Hurry

This book represents the best of Tyson’s writings, including an open new introductory essay on NASA and partisan politics. Book consists of the core topic about Space exploration, satellites, how the space shuttle travels in space, and history about it. He writes with immense humor, his insights are as delightful as they are offensive for non-science students.

The Pluto Files – The Rise and Fall of America`s Favorite Planet

Author: Neil Tyson

The Pluto Files Book

This book is a journey of Pluto evolution, how it was identified, how it was neglected as considering Pluto as Asteroid by few scientists and then back accepted as a Planet.

The book also describes how the solar system is more complex and considering how many exact numbers of planets are revolving around the sun. Neil does point out that the number of planets has never been fixed, and that there is historical precedent for demoting planets. It’s basically the autobiography of Pluto.

Cosmic Queries: StarTalk’s Guide to Who We Are, How We Got Here, and Where We’re Going

Author: Neil Tyson & James Trefil

Cosmic Queries Book

This book is Enlightening for Science and Spiritual Nerds. Those who are seeking answers to our existence and evolution, this is the place you will find the answers. You will open up a new dimension of yours after reading this book.

Tyson and co-author James Trefil, a renowned physicist and science popularizer, take on the fundamental question of our existence -How did life begin? What is the status of ours in the Universe? Are we alone? Who is the Godfather of ours?

This book touches on very fascinating topics and underlines the importance of asking questions, more than getting answers. It lets the reader know what astrophysicists know so far. The pictures in the book are stunning too and help further understand the concepts. It’s one of the best books.

Does the Universe Have a Purpose?

According to Neil, the purpose is as the Observer sees as it is, rather than implying any religious or scientific dilemma to it. If you attach any dilemma to it then the purpose becomes specific which will be falsified by the history of the cosmos.

What is the Meaning of Life?

While in search of meaning, one misses the opportunity to explore himself. He constantly finds the appropriate answer in satisfying his mind, while Meaning is to create the difference within your and other living worlds. To learn new things about the universe, each day should be the meaning of life.

Meaning in LIFE is Something That You CREATE!

Does God exist?

It’s a skeptical question, although if anyone discovers insight into himself and says that God helped him, it’s his decision to believe. If anything good happens with a person and he says he had faith in God so it happened, People will easily believe because they are unaware of the Coincidence or a situation that is common in general.

Columbus Discovering America Was a Great Achievement.

He does make a fascinating point here. Take us back to the Ice Age, how there was a barrier on land which led to no communication between Asia and the Atlantic (now Alaska) for 10,000 years. And because of this, there were two separate human species on one another side which either one had no idea of each other’s existence. Columbus was the person who crossed the Atlantic and contacted the other side of humanity and that’s how we are now one as a human species.

“The good thing about science is that it’s true whether or not you believe in it.”

Neil Tyson

“We are all connected; To each other, biologically. To the earth, chemically. To the rest of the universe atomically.”

Neil Tyson

“We spend the first year of a child’s life teaching it to walk and talk and the rest of its life to shut up and sit down. There’s something wrong there.”

Neil Tyson

“Curious that we spend more time congratulating people who have succeeded than encouraging people who have not.”

Neil Tyson

“My view is that if your philosophy is not unsettled daily then you are blind to all the universe has to offer.”

Neil Tyson

“Knowing how to think empowers you far beyond those who know only what to think.”

Neil Tyson

“Without a doubt, the most spectacular way to die in space is to fall into a black hole.”

Neil Tyson

“We do not simply live in this universe. The universe lives within us.”

Neil Tyson

“Where ignorance lurks, so too do the frontiers of discovery and imagination”

Neil Tyson

“Ignorance is a virus. Once it starts spreading, it can only be cured by reason. For the sake of humanity, we must be that cure.”

Neil Tyson

“Some of the greatest poetry is revealing to the reader the beauty in something that was so simple you had taken it for granted.”

Neil Tyson

“So what is true for life itself is no less true for the universe: knowing where you came from is no less important than knowing where you are going.”

Neil Tyson

“My life is what I make of it.”

Neil Tyson
