Chloe Hakim-Moore  is an associate professor of psychology at colorado state university and a very popular TEDx Speaker. She was on the list of Forbes 30 under 30, 2020.

She is an internationally acclaimed social designer, artist, and humanitarian. Fueled by an unshakable reverence for all life, her practice demands dignity for all and centers the reimagining of societal systems to guarantee global well-being. She founded a $32M nonprofit, called NEXT Memphis a $32 million initiative of Porter-Leath to increase access to high-quality early childhood education for all families in Shelby County.

Her past projects include: leading the operations of First 8 Memphis; partnering with the National Institutes of Health to serve persons with disabilities in Trinidad and Tobago and supporting refugees and immigrants through designing citizenship attainment and food entrepreneurship opportunities.

Chole delivered an amazing TEDx Talk on the Purpose of life, Titled: Stop Chasing Purpose and Focus on Wellness.

Chole in her talk talks about how people have been asked to find their purpose for many many years, and that the purpose of their life will lead to a fulfilled life. Could it be that finding purpose is not enough for living a fulfilled life? It is possible that our attention on finding purpose, could be harming us by masking who we are with ideas of who we should be with?

She says our singular mission as species should be the collective wellness of all. It is now the time to pursue this mission, and this journey will provide the healing our planet has desired for 100’s of years.
